Welcome to Pheasant’s Rest

Pheasant’s Rest is situated in the safe quiet suburb of Aviary Hill, Newcastle where a warm welcome awaits you by hosts Armand and Noelani, the new owners of Pheasant’s Rest.

It’s a property developed by Pieter and Babs Ackermann with the intention to start a Guest House. Due to circumstances this dream could never be fulfilled. The property was taken over by Ben and Petra van Zyl in November 2016. We have the privilege of building forward on that dream.

As hosts we are committed to entertaining you to the best of what we have to offer. All rooms are en suite and are fitted with a TV with basic guest house DSTV channels plus kykNET, an air conditioner, coffee and tea making facilities and large cupboards. All rooms have private entrances with a view over the swimming pool. Should a child accompany parents, provision for an extra single bed in the room can be arranged.

As a guest you can join the entertainment area where you will find a bar, snooker table, big screen television with all the DSTV channels as well as a private lounge. Guests are welcome to make use of our large swimming pool and we also have a hall for small functions of up to 60 people.
